Animation JAM 2026

Jam 2026 was a one-week studio-style production where we developed a short film in Unreal Engine 5, while doing the animation in Autodesk Maya. Working through the full pipeline from pre-production to final delivery.

I took on a primary role in 3D Animation, leading a small team of animators throughout the process, while also contributing as a rigger in a secondary role. My responsibilities included giving structured feedback via SyncSketch, supervising shot progression, and ensuring consistency across all animation stages. From blocking and blocking plus to spline and final polish.

This experience strengthened my ability to collaborate under pressure, communicate clearly, and maintain quality within tight deadlines.

My Shots in this project:

"The Woods Took Him"

A tense, atmospheric short film told in just 15 seconds, this piece captures a brief yet unsettling moment. It begins with a boy abruptly entering the frame at full speed, running across a bridge before cutting to a dark, quiet scene. The sound of police radio chatter emerges as a single lantern reveals his fate without explanation. The story remains intentionally ambiguous, functioning as a teaser that creates unease and leaves the viewer questioning what really happened.

The animation was created in Autodesk Maya and rendered in Unreal Engine 5, blending cinematic storytelling with real-time rendering. The idea was inspired by a wooded trail I take daily on my way to university, whose naturally eerie and quiet atmosphere helped shape the tone and visual direction of the film.

The references below guided the character’s body mechanics and helped shape the tone and atmosphere of the forest.

"CASS-101801"

A robotic war machine inspired by the cassowary, with dual miniguns and built for speed and ferocity. Modeled in Autodesk Maya and textured in Substance Painter. 101801 is a personal touch. It´s my birthday!!
